Wine Summary
The Adelaide Hills is renowned for its prestige whites, and Chardonnay is one of the top varieties for the region. This one comes from the talented folk at Zonte's Footstep, whose intriguingly named wines garner much attention (and lots of glitter from show judges too!) This one boasts THREE Gold medals, and 90 points from James Halliday: "Hand-picked, fermented and matured in used French oak. Scores for the generosity of its assorted stone fruits and length, less so for its finesse...90 points". If you love lots of flavour (and are not too fussed on finesse) then this is definitely the Chardonnay for you! Great at parties (from dusk til dawn perhaps?) but also a great food wine. Try it with creamy chicken dishes.
