Wine Summary
Mountadam was founded in 1972 by the late David Wynn for his winemaking son, Adam. Brie y owned by Cape Mentelle, the estate was bought in 2005 by David Brown and family. Under Helen McCarthy, winner of several Young Winemaker of the Year awards it’s built a name for wines of elegance and structure. “The higher alcohol of this wine than that of its Five-Fifty sibling rounds the palate and delivers its message in a more considered fashion. There are layers of sombre black fruits, licorice and cracked pepper, tannins and oak following the trail set by the fruit ... 95 points” (Halliday).
