Before Richard Hamilton emigrated to Australia in 1837, he ran a tailoring business in Dover. His interest in wine also led to a small sideline of ‘importing’ French wine from over the English Channel – under the cover of darkness! This is a rich and powerful McLaren Vale Shiraz, with impressive fruit richness and a delicious spicy complexity, displaying lifted aromas of blackberry, dark plum, mint chocolate and black olive.
