Ned Goodwin MW The Halliday Companion calls it "Effortless drinking” complimenting its blue and red fruit and notes of herb and tobacco.He's not alone in praising the blend: “Deep, darkly red/purple colour. The bouquet shows meaty, earthy and subtly spiced dark plums, the palate rich and dense, with thickness of texture and a trace of chew on the finish.
