Wine Summary
Peter Drayton is a 5th generation descendant of the renowned Drayton Family Wines in NSW’s famous Hunter Valley region. His Ironbark vineyard is set at the foot of the Brokenback range. The 18 hectares of plantings include the Hunter classics like Shiraz, Chardonnay and Semillon, but are also planted to Tempranillo, Merlot, Verdelho and even Tyrian (a CSIRO hybrid) - varieties that Peter feels are well-suited to the Hunter climate - a ‘salute to the future’.
