<p> The Lake Doctor vineyard is on a 40,000,000-year-old alluvial plain by Lake Alexandrina where, each summer afternoon, the cooling breeze of the ‘Lake Doctor’ arrives and revives vines and vignerons alike. </p><p> Rich, soft aromas of blackberry pie, spice and violets before blueberry, plum pudding, cedar, tobacco and fine-grained tannins in the mouth. A touch of Viognier means it’s delicious now, though it will also repay cellaring to 2016.</p>
