Wine Summary

‘The Tithing’, an old English term (as is the ‘100’ attached to the winery’s name) is her Reserve wine made only in top vintages. Five years old now, this 2010 is packed full of exquisitely soft, succulent berry flavours, and caressed by silky oak it boasts a delightfully velvety texture. A real hit with our tasting panel, who agree with Halliday that it quite simply seduces the palate.

“Medium red-purple; typical McLaren Vale Grenache, with more colour, more flavour and more structure than those from the Barossa or Clare Valleys; there is a sweetness to the red and black fruits (in no way linked to sugar) that seduces the palate, even though oak and tannins are both in play ... 94 points” (Halliday).
