Wine Summary

Made by husband and wife team, Jeff and Vicky Dewar, who “have followed a fast track in developing Willow Bridge since acquiring the spectacular 180ha hillside property in the Ferguson Valley” (Halliday).

“With two wines at 96 points, two at 95 points and four at 94 (three of those with an $18 price tag), Willow Bridge might have been a contender for Winery of the Year … “ (Halliday).

Approximately half of the wine was pressed directly to and naturally fermented in second fill Burgundian coopered French oak barrels. The rest saw no oak at all, being cool fermented to dryness in stainless steel tanks. Crisp and refreshing in style, it aims to highlight the classic white-fleshed stonefruit, almond blossom and citrussy characters of the variety, without the heaviness imparted by new oak, malolactic fermentation and other winemaking techniques.
