Wine Summary
Familia Zuccardi have lived in Argentina since the late 19th century. During the 1950s Don Alberto started an irrigation company and in the 1960s he planted a vineyard to demonstrate how his system could benefit grape quality. The rest, as they say, is history. These days, Rodolfo Montenegro is the estate's most experienced winemaker, with six harvests in France, four in Portugal and three in Italy. Rodolfo says 2012 is a very good though small vintage with concentrated flavours for both Syrah and Malbec. Syrah adds spicy red fruits and structure to Malbec's darker tobacco and black fruit notes. Rodolfo recommends you drink it with beef Wellington, char-grilled steak or quality beefburgers - very much the staple fare of his native country.
