<p> Giorgio Sordo is the fifth generation to run the estate, a true local who speaks only Italian. He has some of the best vineyards in the region and used all three of the closely related strains of Nebbiolo - Lampia, Michet and Rosé - to produce a complex and elegant wine. </p> <p> Matured for two years in oak, the wine has a wonderfully mellow character combined with great intensity and a steely freshness. It will be superb with simple pasta and fresh truffles. </p>
