Tuscany - majestic rolling hills, magnificent old towns and a treasure trove of really top-class wines. Some of the regions historic artists weren't half bad either! Sangiovese is the key here but interestingly the addition of the indigenous Canaiolo should not be overlooked. It acts as a softener if you like, rounding off the tartness associated with wine made from solely Sangiovese. A classic red that is both seductive and charming.
