<p> Barolo star Claudio Manera largely makes impressive age worthy reds in Piedmont, yet he demonstrates here with this wine that he's just as adept at making rosé. Not surprisingly, Claudio turned to the grapes that go into the region's most famous (and pricey) reds, which, combined, make dazzling rosé, as you'll taste here. </p> <p> Centring on silky Barbera, the blend also features intensely aromatic Nebbiolo. A very gentle pressing of both drew out a delicate, pale salmon colour and elegant berry flavour. This rosato bursts with ripe red-berry aromas, followed by delicate strawberry and cherry notes. It's a versatile wine - enjoy it solo as a classy aperitivo or serve alongside grilled salmon, chicken or barbecued vegetable and haloumi kebabs. </p>
