Wine Summary
Its outstanding winemaker Javier Domeque is often called upon to judge in regional wine competitions. Javier selected grapes from ancient vines (up to 65 years old) and after fermentation allowed the wine to rest for a couple of years in American oak - lending toasty vanilla and coconut notes to the ripe berry fruit. A further few years in bottle has produced a beautifully mellow red, delicious on its own or with barbecued lamb, cured meats or Spanish style dishes.
