<p> Portugal is home to a myriad of brilliant native grapes with challenging names, which in expert hands give flavour and character capable of thrilling any but the most staid of wine lovers. </p> <p> Giesta is the personal project of talented fourth generation winemaker Nuno Cancela de Abreu, who consults for a number of other properties. Brought up in Dão, he has a passion for the region's traditional grape varieties. </p> <p> This is a blend from his family estate - Touriga Nacional, chosen for its ripe floral character, Tinta Roriz (aka Tempranillo), and Jaen, for its fruit and spice. This wine has a natural freshness, with floral highlights and ripe red fruit. Just right for Summer grills and winter casseroles. </p>
