Wine Summary

In 1980, Geoff branched out with fellow viticulturalist Ian Leask, purchasing their first vineyard in the McLaren Vale. He now consults for many properties, not only in Australia but even in France and Italy.

As you might expect from the name, the Limestone Coast lies close to the ocean and benefits from the cooling effects of coastal breezes. In addition, this region once lay under the sea (a mere 15 million years ago) and the billions of fossils left behind make up the famous limestone bedrock of this region - forming top terroir, especially for reds.

Geoff’s full-flavoured, silky Merlot is almost opaque and the perfect wine to enjoy with garlicky roast beef and hot mustard.
