<p> Winemaker Ruth Rodriguez crafted this stunning red from premium Tempranillo grapes that were harvested by hand from 35-plus-year-old vines. The juice was aged in fine oak for a luxurious 26 months – far longer than the one-year minimum – giving a much more robust, layered Rioja. It has layers of mellow red fruit flavours and subtle notes of smoky oak, sweet coconut and vanilla in every glass. Divine with simple paella or Spanish style, garlicky lamb. </p> <p> By law, a Reserva, must be aged for at least three years, with one in barrel and one in bottle. So in essence, Spain has already done the cellaring for you – rare indeed! </p>
