Wine Summary

A popular tourist destination, Provence has an ideal climate for rosé wines, with plentiful sunshine to ripen the grapes, yet relatively moderate temperatures even in summer, so wines have a zesty bite.

The Bréban family have been winemakers in the region for three generations – since Raymond Bréban first began making sparkling wines in his garage in 1942. The current owner, Laurent Bréban, produces a full range of Provençal wines from a modern, well equipped cellar – a far cry from the garage operation of his grandfather.

He made this elegant rosé from the fruit of a single vineyard, based on granite soils that impart a delicious minerality to the wine. It's spot-on with poached salmon, grilled white fish or pepper and salt squid.
