<p> For many wine and food lovers Italy means Tuscany, and the wine that put this region on the map was Chianti. </p> <p> Paolo Masi is a gifted winemaker who has been delighting fans with his handcrafted reds for two decades now. His flagship Chianti Riserva is a wonderful display of intensity, elegance and length thanks to his dedication to quality. His property, Fattoria di Basciano, was founded in 1930 within the superior Rufina area and lies high on a hill, overlooking the Argomenna Valley. The estate comprises 25 hectares of vines, 15 hectares of olive trees and vast amounts of woodland full of wildlife including wild boar. </p> <p> Aged in oak barrels for 14 months, this is a smooth, complex Riserva to enjoy with calf's liver, meaty pasta or light game. </p>
