Wine Summary
<p> When yields are kept low, this variety adds bags of colour and a savoury depth to its fruitier fellow grapes, like raspberry rich Grenache. It was made by the Saint Emilion winemaker Claude Gros who makes the most of the 'vieilles vignes' (old vines). </p> <p> Dark, smoky berry fruit enhanced by notes of the surrounding garrigue (the local herbs), this rich, weighty red makes an ideal match with lamb, a robust cassoulet or duck. </p>
