Wine Summary

Award-winning Château Belair Coubet is a 6th generation family estate on Bordeaux's Right Bank, in the Côtes de Bourg. Despite their long winemaking history, they're relative newcomers to the area. The Côtes de Bourg itself has a winemaking history dating back to Roman times (2nd century AD). In the Middle Ages Bourg became a major port for the wine trade, and vineyards developed quickly as demand grew. Although the region now produces many wines, those of Château Belair Coubet stand head and shoulders above their peers, and have drawn international acclaim.

This five Golds, barrel aged claret is testament to their continuing search for excellence. One sip and you'll see why hard nosed judges were so seduced. Best enjoyed with roast game, fillet steak, rack of lamb or a generous cheeseboard.
