Wine Summary
In Bordeaux the Cabernet and Merlot grapes thrive on well-drained, gravelly soils and are refreshed by gentle sea breezes. This top-vintage ‘claret’ was aged in small, French oak casks, giving predominant aromas of violet and cassis – and flavours of blackberry, cedar, spice and mocha. The silky tannins are perfect with slow-roasted lamb shanks, duck confit or hard French cheeses.
