If you know where to look, the area is a top spot for value in Bordeaux and, judging by this wine's Gold medal, top quality, too. Fortunately we've over 40 years experience buying wine in Bordeaux – and that led to this terrific scoop. </p> <p> Winemaker Charles Henri Bisson tasted and re-tasted until settling on the perfect blend: silky Merlot leads, with dark, cassis scented Cabernet Sauvignon providing backbone and Cabernet Franc adding raspberry complexity. Decant before serving to open up the impressive range of red and black fruit aromas and flavours. A fine match with roast beef or lamb, and a claret with superb richness and length. </p>
