Wine Summary
Look past the label and you will taste indulgent Syrah from one of the Rhone's finest appellations - St Joseph. Not too much of a surprise, since this is essentially a wine made from grapes just beyond the boundary of St Joseph, in Vin de Pays territory. The hand-harvested vines that made St Desirat share the same terroir and indulgent style as world-renowned reds of St Joseph and Crozes Hermitage, but as it falls outside the strict French quota system, so is a whole bunch cheaper to you.
