Wine Summary

Castillo Roquero pays homage to the area's famous castles, built in the 8th century atop the large rock formations of the central plains. It's from a cellar that can boast original vines dating back to 1904 – you'll notice that in the intensity of the wines.

Scottish winemaker Pamela Geddes combined the fruit of these ancient treasures with some from more recent plantings to produce a richly flavoured red with great complexity and exuberant fruit. Matured for five years in oak, this red is a real treat with roast pork, wild boar sausages or cured meats.
