<p> An hour or so along the coast from Marlborough, Nelson is a stunningly beautiful region famous for its extraordinary wines – none more thrilling than those from Brightwater Vineyards. </p> <p> Named after Lord Rutherford of Nelson (the 'father' of nuclear physics), this is their premium cuvée. The grapes, a special selection from the Hope Plains, were harvested in several individual picks, each at different levels of ripeness. The winemaker fermented each batch separately combining them to produce a wine that shows all the nuances of flavour Sauvignon lovers adore. </p> <p> Wonderfully concentrated and complex, with gooseberry, mango and lime flavours. Serve chilled with lemon chicken, crab cakes or seared scallops. </p>
